The only time that I have worn footie pajamas, is when I was in college. There were a few of us that were from the south and not used to the cold winters of the north. My parents had warned me that it was going to be cold and snowy in Michigan but I had always thought that snow was pretty. Little did I know that when it is negative twenty degrees, that snow does not look pretty anymore.

My mother sent me a care package in December, right after the first snow hit and when I opened it, I found a pair of footie pajamas for me and my roommate who was also from the south. My mother’s note said that she had to do some serious online searching to find the pj’s for us and actually there are a set of toddlers pajamas out there that match ours. I guess that we were wearing what was part of a set for a family to get footed pajamas for everyone including toddler pajamas with feet in them with little white snowman all over.

Every year after that, which was my freshman year, my mother would go back to the same website and pick out my roommate and I’s footie pajamas, for the next winter.

I was just surfing the web one day and came across a company that sells janitorial supplies for a lot less than I was paying. I had never thought to check out other companies to compare prices; I just figured that I was getting good prices on my cleaning products since I had used the same company for over ten years.

The whole thing made sense though since the janitorial supplies company that I used was very small and did not have the kind of connections to get the prices like the stores that order in bulk. I did not want to change companies because I believe in supporting the locally owned stores in town but that would just not be smart business.

I called the online company to request prices on everything that I buy every month to compare to what I was currently paying. I could not believe that I was looking to save over a hundred and fifty dollars each month by switching. After seeing that number, I had to move my cleaning products buying business to the online company. I told my old supplier that I did not have a choice and they understood. I hope that they do not carry any hard feelings towards me.

My brother wanted to open up a smaller version of my bakery in his hometown. We had both grown up in our parent’s bakery in Chicago and I bought the business from our parents about twenty years ago. My brother never wanted to have the responsibility and went to college to get a teaching degree. He tried it for about five year and then decided that he should be running a bakery just like his father did.

I wanted to help him get everything set up and running, so I forward on a good discount office supplies company name to him and let him know that they also sold discount office furniture as well. He ordered everything that he thought he would need according to my list and was very happy when it all arrived.

He had been getting the bakery ready for about six months and I drove all night, the day before his grand opening to surprise him. I got there about two hours before the doors were to open. He had not gotten all the discount office supplies put away in his office and the discount office furniture was still on the loading dock. I took care of setting up his office so that he could concentrate on the goods to be sold when the doors opened.

The last three pairs of Gucci shoes that I have purchased have all been from an online store that has some serious discounts on great items. I had never thought that I would be able to afford Gucci shoestrings let alone shoes but now I have three different pairs that I rotate every day.

My roommate in college came from a very wealthy family and she had Gucci shoes and Prada handbags coming out of her ears. I swear that if she lost one, she would just go and buy another pair to replace it and think nothing of it. I was so jealous of that, but she did let me borrow her Gucci handbags all the time. I could not wear her Prada shoes because her feet and my feet were not the same size.

I feel like calling her and saying “guess what” and then telling her about my fabulous find of the seriously discounted Gucci shoes. She would probably laugh, but she would still be seriously happy for me. I wonder what ever happened to her, she supposedly married some rich lawyer but I have not heard anything since then. I would love to see how her perfect life turned out, but I guess that I already know the answer to that.

I chose to purchase some really neat offensive t shirts to take with me to college. I am hoping that they help me feel like I fit in better than some college freshman. A couple of the offensive t shirts that I got were about partying and drinking. I do not plan on doing too much drinking but I plan on attending lots of parties.

This way, if I wear the funny shirts then people will just assume that I drink and hopefully that will make me look cool. I just have to make sure that my parents do not discover these funny shirts, because they will not find them so funny. I should probably just hide them in the bottom of the suitcase and make sure that they never come home with me when I come home to visit.

I am going to wait and see how they go over and then possibly order some more, later in the spring. I found a great website that has tons of designs on it. I can then just have them sent right to my dorm room and will not have to worry about my mother intercepting the mail like I did with the first order.

Finding funny t shirts to fit everyone’s personality is so easy these days. I just go to my computer and type in funny t shirts into the search engine and there you go lots to choose from. I have been doing this for years and everyone asks me where I find the perfect shirt for them. At first, I bet they thought I spent hours running from store to store to find their funny t shirts. But with the world that we are living now, everyone is working hard and no time for their kids, we are raising very materialistic children out of them. Parents do compensate the time lost in spending it with their kids and fill them up with material stuff. For instance, your daughter will attend her first communion, aside from giving her a beautiful communion dress, you are giving her a diamond earrings to match the dress. If she has been invited as a flower girl, instead of buying a discount flower dress, you will buy the most expensive dress out of a variety of flower girl dresses.

It is the parents and the society that needs to be blame of raising materialistic children and obese children. These are the effects of being busy and aiming for having huge amount of accumulated wealth.
