I wanted to surprise my partner and had new servers installed into our office while he was away on vacation. I enlisted the help of everyone in the office to find us the best used refurbished servers for the least amount of money. I gave everyone a list of what they needed to look for, and the top price that I was willing to spend, along with a few that I would like to have.

On the list of the servers I would like to have, were used pseries servers or used iseries servers. I had heard that if you can get these, they will last a long time with minimal break downs, if serviced like they should be. I think that our current servers had been very well taken care of, but at least twice a month they would go down and the whole office would come to a standstill.

If we were lucky enough to find the used pseries or the used iseries, then I believe we would definitely have less down times in the office. My partner’s secretary was the one who found the refurbished used pseries servers for less than the top price I would have paid. We had them installed and up and running the day prior to my partner coming back to work.
